Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 8 to 12 chicken thighs
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 ½ cups whisky
- 3 ½ cups barbecue sauce
- ½ cup water, optional
- 1 cup peach preserves
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 4 to 6 peaches, pitted and sliced
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
- Place a large (15 inch) oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat. Add the oil and butter.
- Season the chicken thighs with salt and black pepper. Carefully place the chicken into the skillet and brown on both sides, about 5 minutes on each side. Remove the chicken from the skillet but keep warm.
