Blackstone Cajun Chicken Kabobs Recipe
Experience the flavors of Cajun cuisine - Blackstone Cajun Chicken Kabobs. Juicy chicken, colorful veggies, and spices grilled to perfection.
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast cut into cubes
- 1 13.5-ounce package andouille sausage, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into squares
- 1 green bell pepper, cut into squares
- 1 red onion, cut into squares
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Creole seasoning
- Kabob sticks
Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients: Begin by washing and patting dry the chicken breasts and vegetables. Gather all other ingredients to have them ready for the next steps.
- Cut and Season: Cut the chicken breast into equal, bite-sized chunks. Slice the andouille sausage into thick rounds. Chop the red and green bell peppers, as well as the red onion, into 1-inch pieces that can fit onto a skewer.
- In a large mixing bowl, toss the chicken pieces with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of Creole seasoning until evenly coated. Repeat the process in a separate bowl for the sliced sausage and prepped vegetables, using the remaining oil and Creole seasoning.
- Assemble the Kabobs: Take your skewers and thread the chicken, sausage, and vegetables onto them. Alternate between the different ingredients to create a colorful and balanced assortment on each kabob stick.
- Preheat the Blackstone Griddle: Turn on your Blackstone Griddle to a medium-high heat (around 400), allowing it to preheat for a few minutes. A properly heated griddle ensures even cooking.
- Griddle the Kabobs: Place the assembled kabobs onto the hot griddle. Grill them for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally with a pair of tongs to ensure they cook evenly and get those beautiful griddle marks.
- Check for Doneness: The kabobs are ready when the chicken is thoroughly cooked with no pink in the middle, and the vegetables have a slight char and are tender-crisp.
- Serve and Enjoy: Once cooked, carefully remove the kabobs from the griddle and serve them hot. These kabobs are great on their own or can be paired with rice, a salad, or a creamy dipping sauce.
